28/06/2020· I took the opportunity to add a transmission drain plug and temp sensor port to the transmission pan. I was originally going to use a B&M kit (B&M Drain Plug Kits 80250). I didn't like the idea of the inside nut of the kit limiting the removal of the last bit of fluid. So I made a dimple die to create a low spot for complete fluid removal.

03/01/2011· The 97+ HO engines use a single temperature sensor that both tells the computer whether to be in open or closed loop and to feed the dash gauge. I have a 1998 (ridiculously amazing and I suggest the swap to everyone) and so I don't have a head with a hole pretapped for a temperature sensor for the gauge. I will drill and tap a thermostat housing and install my sensor in that.
