2020-01-22· Mirrorless cameras don’t have this problem since these cameras use digital viewfinders, and any dust on the viewfinder can be blown off using a blower or cleaned using soft tissues recommended for cleaning lens glasses. For other camera types, the only solution is to take it to a service centre for cleaning.
Select to clean manually by first locking the mirror. Remove the swab from the sensor and blow air several times to remove all strange lint that may stick to the swab. Apply two drops (or three drops maximum) of solution to the tip of the broom. Do not saturate the swab, otherwise the lines will remain on the sensor.

2020-07-02· Hi everybody, I have never used mirrorless system cameras, so my preoccupation as to sensor dust is likely to be logical. After my D7000-7200 and D100-300 with shutter blades protecting the sensor while changing lenses, removing the lens from a Z6 at a Nikon presentation made me ask myself if a camera with such an exposed and unprotected sensor would be the right camera for me outdoors.

2018-05-27· As for mirrorless or DSLRs being more prone to dust - in my experience, I have to clean a lot less with mirrorless cameras. Here's my reasoning: when opening the body to change lenses, the sensor is very close to the opening, and there's no real recessed chamber for dust to get into and float around, looking for places to settle - essentially, there's always air flow over the sensor and when ...
Sensor dust, on the other hand, won’t show itself until it’s left dark spots of varying sizes on your photos. If you see it in the viewfinder, it’s not on the sensor. Spotting the Spots. 2018-07-29· My mirrorless cameras do get more dust on their sensors, but the self-cleaning operation has always sufficiently removed it. Of course, this doesn't help the pics you take before the sensor gets cleaned at shut off or start up. It's also easier o get other things such as moisture on the sensor which has only happened to me once, but ruined a bunch of pics. Don't know how a small drop of water ...

2016-07-30· This gives your sensor mechanism a good vibrating shake and knocks loose any dust particulates. It is recommended to have the camera sitting upright on a table, but I have heard it is best to hold the opening of the camera down towards the floor with either a body cap or lens on. Personally, I have tried both methods and I get great results with both.
2018-09-23· Those three sensor dust specks ended up being on my sensor after a long day of driving through a very dusty area. As you can see, the dots are quite obvious and are much smaller than the earlier example of dust on the rear lens element. I used a small aperture of f/10 for this shot to get the bird in perfect focus, so the dust specks showed up right away.
