Dec 06, 2014· Many people whose co alarms go off tend to believe that it is a faulty alarm and take the alarm's batteries out or remove it from where it is going off. If you have an alarm and it goes off I would suggest that you presume it has detected co and not that it is faulty.

Jul 04, 2012· Posted July 3, 2012. My carbon monoxide alarm does a intermittent beep and the light is flashing. ON the carbon detector is has a blinking green light. That says on the unit that it has low power. My batteries are charged, I checked them with a load tester. I also have dual batteries and the alarm goes off on both batteries. The boat starts fine.

There are also propane alarms that are battery only operated and there are some from places like Lowe's and Amazon that use 120V-ac power. As a test, I'd turn off the propane and then see if the alarm goes off.
